Juvenile Diabetes - Early Signs And Symptoms In Children
Frequent thirst and desire of sweet drinks as child suffering from diabetes urinates very often. Unusual urination due to high level of glucose in the blood as when there is high level of sugar in the body kidneys start getting rid of it. Irritability and changes in the behavior. Sudden drop in the weight of the child because body uses fat and proteins for energy in place of glucose. Extreme fatigue and weakness in the child. Changes in the eyesight the child may have blurred vision. Acute symptoms as nausea and vomiting. Increased appetite in the child. In untreated and undiagnosed cases diabetic acidosis is seen also known as diabetic coma. Child may complain of dry mouth and throat Pain in abdomen. In toddlers and infants diaper rashes are seen which are not improved after the application of medicated creams.
If you see early symptoms in your child you should immediately consult childhood diabetes specialist as uncontrolled or untreated disease is having lot of complications. Every year in united states 31,000 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus.

It’s unbelievable.. read a comment today from a UK agency called Change 4 Life that 9 out of 10 kids could be setting themselves up for type 2 diabetes, heart disease and other health issues related to too much body fat and obesity. How sad is that!

Yes, this is very sad. But look at our kids! I remember playing soccer and basketball when I grew up - we didn’t had any Gameboys or Xboxes or that kind of stuff. Also, fast-food was much more expensive than today. No wonder that most of our kids will suffer by diabetes in the future…

I agree with kids nowadays didn’t like outdoor activities. They prefer ps3, xbox etc. My friend also having diabetes at the early age. The thing is, he didn’t control his eating habit. He also didn’t like exercise.
