Diabetes - Vinegar Can Keep Blood Sugars Lower
Recently, research has shown that one such way may be to increase the use of vinegar. If you have diabetes, use vinegar to keep blood sugars lower. Vinegar has a bunch of uses; it is one of the most versatile household products that most people have in their homes, and now there is evidence that not only will it help the dye stick to your Easter eggs and keep your wood floors beautifully clean, it will also help your health if you use vinegar to keep blood sugars lower.
Research from Sweden shows that increasing your intake of vinegar - most people prefer apple cider vinegar may actually help keep blood sugars lower; and even more excitingly, especially for those who love bread, bread, and more bread (like me), it has been shown that if eaten right along with white bread, the good effects might be increased even more.
In Japan, there are also studies going on related to diabetes. Japanese researchers, too have concluded that vinegar may counter effect the rise in blood glucose that frequently occurs with white rice - a staple in many people’s diets. And right here in the US, researchers have been suggesting that taking a couple tablespoonfuls of vinegar before a meal heavy on the starches may just reduce the rise in glucose.
So go ahead; get out that tablespoon and down a spoon or two; if you have diabetes, use vinegar to keep blood sugars lower.
