I have this thought that diabetes is a disease for rich people. Why? It’s too expensive to treat or rather manage this illness, especially for type 1 diabetes, where insulin is completely absent in their body. I have seen some cases of diabetes; people with this disease often have their debridement especially for those who have unhealed wounds. It is the management to avoid limb amputation. Although, I don’t have history of diabetes in my family, I still watch out for my sugar intake and sugar level.
Diabetes is a silent killer disease.

Thank you for posting this, I couldn’t agree with you more.
I have type 1 Diabetes and have changed my entire lifestyle this past year to make serious effort to keep my blood sugar in check.
Simple things like carrots, almonds, stevia, cinnamon, & eating a more macrobiotic diet has made such a huge difference. I don’t even have to monitor it as closely anymore.
