Detox Your Body - Natural Body Detox Made Easy
So how it is done? Here are some easy steps for a natural body detox:
The first step is to reduce the intake of certain foods that release toxins into your body - coffee, alcohol, saturated fats and refined sugar, as well as cigarettes. The next step is to cut back using personal products such as toothpaste, body cleansers and shampoo, as well as household cleaners and chemicals.
While there are several methods of detoxification, it is wise to choose a way that suits you best. Here are some examples:
Juice Fasting - drink only fresh vegetable and fruit juice (no citrus) for up to three days. You should do juice fasting for any longer than this unless you are under a health specialist instruction and guidance Water Fasting - nothing but water is consumed. This is one of the best ways to rid your body of toxins quickly, as your digestive tract is completely at rest. You will likely want to do water or juice fasting while at home as you may suffer mild symptoms such as headaches and tiredness as the toxins leave your body. A water fast should not be done for any longer than a day or two unless under the guidance of a health professional. Make sure your diet consists mainly of fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds and raw nuts. These are good to eat all the time, not just during a detox. Have regular saunas. They are great for eliminating toxic chemicals in fat cells. The steam encourages the toxins to be eliminated through your pores. Skin Brushing - using a dry skin brush made of soft bristles, brush your skin in a circular motion from the feet up. This is effective for removing dead skin cells and drawing out toxins through the skin.
These are just some of the easy ways you can begin to detox your body and improve your health. It is a good idea to know about these various methods before commencing any programs. You should also consult a doctor before doing any type of rigorous detoxification process.

Thanks for the great post Karen. About how often should one detox their body? Are there any side effects from doing it too often?
Thanks again…

This is such a great article. Some people don’t seem to realize the importance of detoxification and even more people don’t even have a clue about the amount of toxins that we are exposed to in our environment today.
I love it when I see articles like yours that educate people about the benefits of detoxification. Thanks

I did a 10 day detox diet with a liquid juice diet not so long ago and I have to say, the first three days were tough but after that I felt like I was 10 years younger. I slept better, ate less, had more energy. I felt like a teenager again. Looking forward to my next one to be honest. Thanks for the tips on exfoiliation, I didn’t try that last time.

Just how much is this supposed to cost? My friend’s girlfriend goes to a lady and it costs her (him) big bucks? Are they being ripped off?
