The 1997 Consensus Statement by National Institutes of Health said that acupuncture is a potential effective treatment for asthma. However, they N.I.H. also stressed that acupuncture should be used as an addition treatment, not as a replacement for scientific medicine. Another study also shows that acupuncture improves the immune response of asthma patient that takes anti-asthma medications over those patients who did not receive acupuncture. Remember to always consult your professional local acupuncturist about your asthma.
Though only few studies have examined the effectiveness of a specific homeopathic therapy, homeopaths consider the following remedies for the treatment of asthma based on their knowledge and experience. A constitutional type is defined as a person’s physical, emotional, and psychological makeup, homeopaths takes this factor into account before prescribing any particular homeopathic therapy.
