Diabetes is Widespread - Can You Avoid Getting It?
Medical personnel are constantly stating two (2) facts that have a great deal to do with people who develop diabetes. Those 2 facts are (1) being overweight and (2) heredity. Being overweight can be changed with proper diet and exercise, but little can be done about heredity.
The number of diabetics is increasing and this disease is not contagious. A person becomes a diabetic because (1) he is born with diabetes, or (2) he becomes a diabetic because his body quits producing insulin or his body does not use insulin properly. The first kind of diabetes is known a s juvenile diabetes and the second kind is labeled type 2 diabetes.
If your family has a history of diabetes, then you are at a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The only thing you can do in this instance to lower your risk of developing diabetes is to fight the other factors that cause people to develop diabetes. That means you need to lose weight if you are overweight, eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. If you do so, you can lower these risk factors and you may beat the odds of developing diabetes.
Depression - How to Build Your Resistance
Resistance is something you have to build. It is difficult but indispensable if you wish to get rid of your depression forever and always be strong.
You must believe that this is a matter of life and death and things will only worsen if you don’t resist it. If you let the profound indisposition lead your life or if you try to give a superficial and provisory end to this sadness, you are in fact weakened by the great challenge called life.
There is no other solution. Everything that is not based on your own resistance will not work and you will not be happy if you don’t learn resistance, since you don’t live in a paradise, but in a world full of contradictions and where pain is routine.
Variety – Your Key to a Healthy Diet
It has been said that variety is the spice of life, and that is certainly true when trying to eat a healthy diet. No one likes to eat the same thing day after day, and boredom is the enemy of a healthy diet.
Fortunately for those trying to follow a healthy diet, there is plenty of variety to be had in healthy foods. In addition to the hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables available at the average grocery store, there is a wide variety of beans, lentils, nuts, meat, dairy products, fish and poultry. There is no need for boredom to set in when pursuing a healthier lifestyle.’
The key to enjoying a variety of foods while eating healthy is to plan meals carefully and be sure to use the many varieties of foods that are available. Using a combination of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and whole grains, it is possible to create a fresh, exciting and healthful meal every day of the week.

Can I Reverse Diabetes? - Tips For Reversing Diabetes
Before we begin, I will explain the two types of diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is where a person’s body produces very insufficient insulin, if any. In Type 2 Diabetes, the body still manufactures enough insulin, sometimes even more than is needed, but the body becomes immune to it. When this happens, the sugar in a person’s blood will not act as it should, thus resulting in greatly elevated blood sugar levels. This latter for of the disease becomes increasingly common after the age of thirty. Insulin is responsible for distributing food energy to the body, as well as letting you know when you are hungry. When you are overweight, your body contains an excess of insulin, which will cause an imbalance in this system, leading to carbohydrate cravings which cause even more insulin to be produced. This cycle can be broken, however, and now we will learn how.
Anxiety Symptoms - How to Stop Dizziness & Nausea
Different Sensations Associated with Dizziness
There are different types of dizziness - there can be two people that both say they are dizzy but have completely different symptoms! One person can mean that they are simply lightheaded while the other person means that they feel like their spinning off the face of the earth - they can barely even stand up.
Both are anxiety symptoms and you should definitely be aware of what you are dealing with as it could be part of your panic/anxiety!
How to Treat your Dizziness
There are many different types of treatment that you can engage in! You should try breathing - especially if you are hyperventilating. Hyperventilating can directly lead to you feeling dizzy.
You can further prevent it by doing the following: Simply breathe from your diaphragm. Take slow, deep, and relaxing breaths. You do not have to rush your breathing - you want slow breaths from your stomach rather than your chest. Breathing from your chest can cause dizziness if you do it too quickly and nervously!
Anxiety Attack Relief Methods that Work
Rapid heart beatIncreased blood pressureExtreme panic or fearMuscle tensionHeadacheChest painIrrational fear or dreadInsomniaNauseaDiarrheaIrritabilityShakinessShortness of breathChanges in body temperatureTearfulnessDepressionWhile these symptoms can be disturbing, the good news is that there are methods and techniques you can use to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and even begin to better manage your anxiety attacks.
Unfortunately, many people believe they have little control over their anxiety and as a result continue to suffer. The first step in achieving relief is to realize that you do have some control over the situation. While anxiety disorders are not a state of mind that you can control, you can take action in order to begin changing behaviors and even thoughts that can contribute to your anxiety. One way to do this is to repeat affirmative statements to yourself when you begin to feel an anxiety attack coming on. Such statements might include:
Anxiety Attack and Chest Pain
There are different types of chest pain, but not all of them are a symptom of heart attack. Indigestion pleurisy sore muscles, injured ribs, pinched nerves, angina and gall bladder or pancreas problems can also cause chest pain. The symptoms of some of these conditions can so perfectly mimic those of a heart attack, that only a doctor can determine the cause. Others have enough significant differences that you may not need to see a doctor.
The chest pain stemming from an anxiety attack falls into the latter category. If you know the differences in the symptoms of the two, it is highly likely you can determine on your own if you are having a heart attack or chest pains associated with anxiety attack.
Fats and Carbohydrates – Their Place in a Healthy Diet

Lately it would seem that fats and carbohydrates have both gotten a bad rap. First it was fat that was the culprit in all dietary ills, and low fat diets were all the rage. Then the two switched places, with carbohydrates being the bad guys and fat reigning supreme.
As with most extremes, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. There is no such thing as a bad food, only bad dietary choices. While some foods are naturally better for you than others, there is no reason that all foods cannot be enjoyed in moderation. After all, the most successful diet is not one that you can follow for a day, a week or even a year. On the contrary, the only successful diet and nutrition program is one that you will be able to follow for a lifetime.
Both fats and carbohydrates play an important role in nutrition, and both are important to a healthy diet. It would be impossible and unwise to eliminate all fat from the diet, since fat is important for the production of energy, and for carrying valuable fat soluble vitamins like vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K, throughout the body. In addition, fat plays a vital role in regulating various bodily functions.
